This is a presentation about the codes and conventions of rock music videos. I have researched stereotypes, camera work, costume, props, hair and makeup, lighting, location and mise en scene. As I have decided that I my final products will be in the rock genre this will help me a lot. I have found out that is commonly found in rock music videos and what is sometimes found, this will help me to make sure that my final products are part of the genre but unique. I have then made the decision that I will use continuity editing in my music video. I have also decided to use fade and cut to make my music video more interesting. This will impact my final product as it will help it to appeal more to my target audience.

Olly murs – right place right time album deconstruction from Kate Jenkins This is a magazine advert deconstruction for the advert for Olly Murs Right Place Right Time. I have looked into the placement of each of the components and also what is actually written on it. It features he name of the artist and the name of the album. This is the biggest thing on the page, part from a picture of the artist. Unlike the ColdPlay advert this does not feature a picture of the album. This will help me when I am creating my magazine advert as I have looked into how the placement of the complements make it stand out and appeal to their primary and secondary target audience.
