Props - Extra Props

Image
I have decided that I would like to use letters in my music video as well. I will make these letters and they will look old like they were sent during World War II. These are some example of the props that I will use in my music video.  By adding to the props it will give me a chance of expanding my music video and making it more interesting. It will also tell the story better and help it to flow. This will appeal t my both my primary and secondary target audience. Everybody takes pictures and the medals and old letters will bring back memories for the older people who are my secondary target audience. These additions will impact my final products as they will be featured in all three.

Storyboard

Image
This is my story board for my music video. It states which type of camera shot I am going to use for each different clip, how long the clip will last, what will be happening in the music and what will be in the clip. This will help me to make sure that every detail fits together and will make it easier when I am making the music video. The pictures will give me an idea of what it will look like and help me to create a picture in my head. The time of each clip lets me make sure that I have gilled the music.

Fonts - Issue

The font that I have decided to use for my magazine advert after the original font was deleted off the website DaFont is Blackswords Font. I feel that there is to much of the same type of font on the magazine advert so I have decided to use the font Ananda for the the writing on the right side of my magazine advert The font is similar but different enough to still be eye catching and not make the magazine advert look boring.

Resourcing

Image
This is a list of the resources that I will need when filming my music video and doing my photoshoot. It clearly outlines what I will need, where it will come from and how much it will cost. There is also a list of contact details for each of the crew and what their job role. This will make it easier when I am liming my music video and doing my photoshoot as I will be able to make sure I have got everything and I will know exactly where it is coming from.

Font - Issues

Image
When I first did my research I decided that I was going to use the font Atlantic Bentty for the magazine advert. When I came to starting to make my magazine advert I found that the font had been deleted off of the website DaFont, where I had originally found it. This meant that I had to find a new font for my magazine advert. After looking through the different fonts available on the website, I decided that I would like a font that looked similar to the original font. Therefore I have chosen the font 'Blacksword Font'. This font has the same sophisticated style and look to it as the previous font.

Photoshop Tools

Photoshop tools from Kate Jenkins This is a presentation outlining what tools are available to use in adobe photoshop. I will use many of these tools when creating my magazine advert and digipak. These will allow me to edit and enhance the pictures as well as moving and positioning them in the best places to make both products appealing to both my primary and secondary target audience.

Shot List

Establishing Shot  Long Shot  Medium Shot  Close Up  Wide Shot  This is a list of all of the shots that I will use in my music video. The different shots will help to create different meanings within my music video and to convey the story. Some of these types of shots are conventions of a music video. They will make my music video look more professional and more interesting to watch.

Summary of Ideas

Music Video: I have decided that my music video will be a narrative music video. In this the story will be about an old man looking back at his time in the World War II when he was a prisoner of war. The memories will be told from the old mans perspective and be like the ounce are experiencing it with him. This will make my music video unique and different and help to attract both my primary and secondary target audience.  Outline of my Vision: The vision of my music video is to make people aware of the prisoners of war during World War II. These people are often looked very and many of them are considered missing in action. Many of these people did escape and did make it back home. My music video tells the story of a man that did make it home alive after being a prisoner of war, from both the perspective of the war and of modern day. Detailed  Script: My music video does not need a script as the song will be the only audio...

Layout and composition of my music video

Layout and compostion of my music video from Kate Jenkins What is included:  Magazine Advert Name of song  Name of artists  Date of the songs release  Record label  Picture  Digipak  Name of the song  Name of the artist  Legal information  Record labels information  Barcode  Pictures

Name of the Song

The name of the song that I have chosen to use for my music video is 'LU2'. It is by the band 'Freedom to Glide'. The song is from the album 'Rain' which was released on 11th November 2013, for remembrance day. Each of the songs on the album link to World War II in some way and are all made in memory of the people who served in the war. Freedom to Glide are a rock band from Birmingham, England which is made up of two members who both started off in Pink Floyd tribute band. 'LU2' is a vocal, piano and strings piece that focuses on a prisoner of war. This gives their audience an insight into what it was like for the prisoners of war during World War II. This topic is not ne that is usually addressed and spoken about so by featuring it in a song it will speak to people and help them to better understand the topic better.

Fonts - Final Ideas

Image
After listening to feedback I have decided that I will use the font Atlantic Bentty for the magazine advert for my music video. I feel that this font is easy to read and fits with the genre and theme of my music video.  I have decided to use the font Signature of the Ancient for the names of the songs on the back of the digi pak. I feel that this font best fits the theme and is easy to read.  I have decided to use the font Anisha for the name of the album on my digi pak. I fee that this best fits the theme and genre of my music video. This font is similar to the font that I have decided to use for the name of my song. This shows continuity throughout the music video and helps my target audience to link it all together.

Editing Style

Image
This is a presentation about the style of editing that I will use for my music videos. It outlines common types of editing that is used i  music videos and films. I have then made the decision that I will use continuity editing in my music video. I have also decided to use fade and cut to make my music video more interesting. This will impact my final product as it will help it to appeal more to my target audience.

Hair - Final Ideas

Both of the people featured in my music video are both men. I want them to look natural in the music video so I have decided that I would like both of the people to wear their hair like they naturally do. This will make my music video more realistic and unique. This will appeal to my target audience.

Make-Up Final Ideas

Make-Up final ideas As both the people in my music video are men no one will need to wear make-up A post shared by Kate (@film_locationkate) on Oct 18, 2017 at 12:21pm PDT This is my final decision on make up for my music video, magazine advert and digipak. As both of the people are men I have decided that they do not need make-up. The video will be filmed in day light where you will clearly be able to see their faces. The photos will be taken in a light room. This will add to my music video and make them more appealing to not my primary and secondary target audience.

Props - Final Ideas

Props - Final Ideas Picture of the old man when he was a prisoner or war War medals that the old man won in the war — Kate Jenkins (@katej_1999) 15 October 2017 There are not going to be many props in my music video because it is not a very long music video an there aren't many props that ca be used. The prisoner of war has run away and won't have any belongings therefore there won't be a need for any props during most of the video. The props that I have chosen to use will help to tell the story in my music video and will make my magazine advert and digipak more interesting. This will make them appeal to both my primary and secondary target audience.

Costume - Final Ideas

Costume from Kate Jenkins These are my final ideas for costumes for my music video. I have chosen contrasting costumes for the characters as this will help the audience to see the difference in time as well as the different parts of the story. I have chosen simple costumes so that they are easy to create when filming my music video and doing my photoshoot.
