This is a presentation about the codes and conventions of rock music videos. I have researched stereotypes, camera work, costume, props, hair and makeup, lighting, location and mise en scene. As I have decided that I my final products will be in the rock genre this will help me a lot. I have found out that is commonly found in rock music videos and what is sometimes found, this will help me to make sure that my final products are part of the genre but unique. I deconstructed the album/Digipak Divide by Ed Sheeran and look at how it creates reprenttion using layout, colour, imagery and content. I looked into how they targeted both their primary and secondary. I looked at the overall representation of the album/Digipak and deconstructed it looking at semiotics. This deconstruction has helped me to beignet decide on the target audience for my product.
